# Document Setup

> Set custom context and preferences for your document

## Overview

Document setup allows you to configure your writing environment and AI context before you start writing, ensuring everything is tailored to your needs.

## Initial Setup

When creating a new document (`⌘ + N`), you'll be guided through:

1. Document type selection
2. Writing style preferences
3. AI context configuration
4. Optional templates

## Custom Context

Set your document's context to help Amber understand:

* Genre and style
* Target audience
* Writing conventions
* Special terminology
* Reference materials

## AI Assistance

Your document setup affects how AI assists you:

* Suggestions match your style

## Changing Settings
